Parks The City of Newcastle maintains 7 city parks for public use which are maintained and operated by the Public Works Department:- Roby Park in the Saddle Subdivision
- Dow Park on Main Street (with playground facilities, basketball courts and large grassy areas)
- Centennial Park (with new playground facilities and a Memorial Tree Lane
- Washington Park off Washington Blvd (with skate park facilities)
- Railroad Park near downtown (with picnic facilities)
- Girl Scout Park near downtown (with benches and viewing opportunities)
- Main Street Park (sits at the top of Main Street with a great view of downtown)
