The certified arborist on staff manages the seven beautiful parks within the City limits. He manages and supervises the urban forestry program, which includes planting, maintenance, and removal activities for the green areas in the city limits.
His efforts, in conjunction with the Newcastle Tree Board, have helped the City of Newcastle be a Tree City USA since 1995.

Tree City USA is greening communities across the country. This program is a great opportunity to celebrate the importance of an urban tree canopy and improve care of these vital city trees. The City of Newcastle Wyoming has been a proud member of the Tree City USA program since 1995.
As an active member of Tree City USA, Newcastle maintains a tree board, has developed a community tree ordinance, budgets for urban forestry and celebrates Arbor Day.
